Deck Watching

Last night, London & I were in relaxing after a long day. Tom shouted in the back door for us to hurry outside. God was painting & He put on a spectacular show !!!! We all stopped what we were doing, sat out on the deck & watched together. It was AWESOME!
I had knowingly walked passed my camera & it was only later that I retrieved it for theswe images. They just do not do justice to what God had for us ! Just as our life here is nothing compared to the Glory we will one day share with Him.

This evening, both beavers made their way up into our cove & were spied from our deck. It is getting to be that time of year again.

Till the Bats Dance

It has been spiritually unsettling travelling in & out of town so much, with guests in between. Last night, I took a candle lantern down to the dock & spent some time making a heart-shaped basket of kudzu vines &, of course watching....God was painting the sky & it's my favorite time to meet with Him. Sitting on the water, I am literally surrounded by the colours. I wove & watched until long past the bats began to dance. The usual 2 in this area, were joined by a 3rd ... offspring? (There is at least one bat in this last image, if you can spy him.)

I returned home through the darkened forest by lantern's glow. I continued my therapeutic weaving, wrestling, & praying amidst fires' glow at home.

Sitting Together

London and I were sitting out one evening, on the banks of the lake. Along came a friend....
London, naturally scooped him up. While he gently played with the little creature, along came another friend...

London has to have Uncle Wesley's approval before he can handle any snake and was oh, so sad to simply watch this one (possibly a baby, yellow rat). Strangely, toad and snake didn't seem to take note of each other in the least...not even when the snake slid right over the toad...more validation that, "If you sit quietly and still long enough, the wildlife will come out".

New Luna (Easter Evening)

After a glorrious day of praise and worship, friends, family and good food, we settled in around a fire on the deck to unwind from the day's heights. While we were doing so, Wesley noticed some movement. Attracted by the tiny lights Tom has up, a newly emerged luna moth came up to the umbrella to continue drying itself. What a treat !!!
